The focus of the Explorer Program is to allow young people to interact with members of the Police Department as well as the community as they consider a possible career in Law Enforcement.
They are also able to ride along with officers on patrol and assist them with some of their duties.

Requirements to be an Explorer are:

• At least 14 years of age
• Free of any felony conviction
• Maintain a “C” or better in all classes
• Able to volunteer 16 hours each month
• Able to attend monthly meeting
